TLS Encryption Meaning
Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption is a cryptographic protocol used to secure data transmitted over networks. It ensures confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity between communicating parties by encrypting data in transit.
TLS is the successor to SSL and is widely used across the internet to protect web traffic, APIs, financial systems, and messaging services. TLS operates through a handshake process, during which encryption parameters are negotiated and cryptographic keys are securely exchanged.
