Anti-Phishing Code Meaning

An Anti-Phishing Code is a user-defined security phrase or code that helps verify the authenticity of emails and notifications from a crypto exchange, wallet provider, or financial platform. The idea is simple: if every genuine message from the platform includes a secret code that only you and the platform know, it becomes easier to spot phishing attempts that impersonate official communications. The typical flow looks like this:

1. You log in to your account and create a unique Anti-Phishing Code-often a short phrase, number, or combination that you can easily recognize. 2.

The platform stores this code securely and automatically displays it in a designated header area of every legitimate email or specific types of notifications it sends to you. 3. When you receive an email claiming to be from the platform, you check whether your Anti-Phishing Code is present and correct.

4. If the code is missing, misspelled, or inconsistent, you treat the message as suspicious and avoid clicking links, downloading attachments, or entering credentials. Because phishing emails are a major vector for credential theft and wallet compromise, Anti-Phishing Codes provide an extra layer of assurance on top of domain checks and visual branding, both of which can be spoofed.

They are particularly valuable in crypto, where transactions are irreversible and compromised accounts can be drained quickly. Users should choose an Anti-Phishing Code that:
