All-Time Low (ATL) Meaning

All-Time Low (ATL) refers to the lowest price an asset has ever reached on record. It is the opposite of an all-time high and serves as a key reference point for market sentiment, historical volatility analysis, and risk assessment.

ATLs often occur during distressed market conditions, sharp downturns, or liquidity shocks. For traders and analysts, an ATL may indicate capitulation, structural weakness, or an opportunity for long-term accumulation-depending on context.

Institutions use ATL data when modeling risk scenarios, building trading strategies, or evaluating entry points.

Because crypto assets can experience extreme volatility, the ATL helps contextualize downward trends and assess the asset’s historical resilience.
