Transaction Check Meaning

A transaction check is the process of verifying a transaction’s validity before it is accepted or finalized. This includes checks on signatures, balances, and protocol rules.

In blockchain systems, transaction checks are performed by nodes prior to inclusion in a block. Invalid transactions are rejected early to preserve network integrity.

Transaction checks also occur off-chain in exchanges and wallets, where compliance and risk filters may apply.

Thorough transaction checks reduce fraud, errors, and network congestion.
