Order flow Meaning

The cumulative stream of buy and sell orders entering the market. Analyzing order flow allows traders to see the "aggression" of buyers vs.

sellers. If order flow shows a massive intake of Market Buy orders, it indicates panic buying or strong momentum.

Order flow is considered a "leading indicator" because it represents the raw intent of market participants before price adjusts.

"Payment for Order Flow" (PFOF) is a controversial practice (common in stocks like Robinhood, less so in crypto) where a broker sells their customer's orders to a market maker, who profits from executing them.
