No-Coiner Meaning

"No-Coiner" is a derogatory slang term used by the crypto community to describe someone who does not own any cryptocurrency and is generally skeptical or hostile toward the asset class. A No-Coiner typically believes that crypto is a bubble, a Ponzi scheme, or an environmental disaster.

The term implies that the person is "Missing Out" on a paradigm shift in finance, often out of stubbornness or ignorance. It reinforces the tribal "Us vs.

Them" mentality. When prices rise, the community mocks No-Coiners for staying poor (HFSP - Have Fun Staying Poor).

However, the label is also applied to valid critics who raise serious concerns about regulation, tether backing, or wash trading. In recent years, the divide has become political, with No-Coiners often aligning with regulatory skepticism and Coiners aligning with libertarian or tech-optimist views.
