NGMI Meaning

Not Gonna Make It. NGMI is a popular slang acronym in the crypto community, used as the pessimistic counterpart to WAGMI (We're All Gonna Make It).

It is used to describe individuals, projects, or investors who are making poor decisions, refusing to adapt to new information, or acting out of fear. If someone sells their Bitcoin at the bottom of a crash because they are panicked, the community might label that behavior as "NGMI." It implies that the person lacks the "Diamond Hands" (conviction) required to succeed in the volatile crypto market.

It is also used to mock "No-Coiners" who aggressively criticize crypto without understanding it. While often used as a joke or a meme, NGMI reflects the tribal and high-stakes nature of crypto culture.

It reinforces the "In-Group" vs. "Out-Group" dynamic.

Those who understand the technology and hold through the pain are "WAGMI," while those who doubt, fade, or panic sell are "NGMI."
