Mineable Meaning

A property of a cryptocurrency that uses a Proof of Work (PoW) consensus mechanism. It means that new units of the currency can be generated by users who provide computational power to the network.

Bitcoin is the most famous mineable coin. Other examples include Litecoin and Dogecoin.

If a coin is mineable, it means the supply is distributed to those who work for it, rather than being pre-mined and sold to venture capitalists.
