Microservices Architecture Meaning

A software development strategy where a large, complex application is built as a suite of small, modular services. Each service runs its own process and communicates with others via APIs.

It is the opposite of a monolithic architecture. In a fintech app, you might have one microservice for KYC and one for wallet balances.

If one crashes, the other can keep running.

This architecture allows companies to update their apps multiple times a day without taking the whole system offline.
