Message Queueing Systems Meaning

A type of middleware software (like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka) that allows different parts of a software system to communicate with each other asynchronously. It acts as a post office for data.

In a fintech app, if you click buy, that request is sent to a message queue. The matching engine picks it up from the queue when it's ready.

If the matching engine is busy, the queue holds the message so it isn't lost.

This prevents the system from crashing during high-traffic periods.
