Market Cap Meaning

This is the "headline" figure used to rank projects. It is a better measure of a project's "size" than the price of a single token.

For example, a token worth $1 might be "bigger" than a token worth $1,000 if there are a billion of the first token and only a thousand of the second. Investors use Market Cap to categorize assets into Large-cap, Mid-cap, and Small-cap.

Large-caps are "stable," while small-caps are "volatile." If you see a small-cap token with a "Market Cap" of only $1M, it is very easy for that price to double (it only needs another $1M in value), but it is also very easy for it to go to zero.
