Limit FOK order Meaning

"Fill-or-Kill." A type of limit order that must be executed immediately and in its entirety, or it is canceled (killed). There is no "partial filling" allowed for a FOK order.

This is used by professional traders who need a specific amount of an asset at a specific price to complete a strategy. If they can only get half of what they need, the strategy might fail, so they would rather have "none" than "some." For example, if you want to buy 10 BTC at $50,000 and use a FOK order, the exchange checks if there are 10 BTC available at that price right now.

If there are only 9 BTC, the entire order is canceled.

It is a tool for precision and total execution certainty.
